The Client

Zluri is a SaaS management platform that helps companies discover, manage and optimize their software stack.

They came to us with a frustrating problem. Despite real SEO investment, growth had flatlined at around 8,700 monthly organic visitors, and rankings for their most valuable keywords would not move.

The Diagnosis

Our starting audit estimated that about 95% of Zluri’s organic traffic landed on blog content, not on the homepage. Yet the existing link profile, 124 referring domains, barely supported those blog pages.

The plan was to point authority where the search demand already was.

The Playbook

1. Blog-first link building

About 90% of the 370 backlinks pointed at blog pages targeting Zluri’s top 20 commercial keywords. The other 10% used branded anchors pointing to the homepage, to keep the anchor profile balanced.

Every link came from a DR50–DR93 SaaS or industry site. About 90% were niche edits and 10% were guest posts.

Two link types were used. Niche edits are links added to articles that already exist on a publisher’s site; guest posts are new articles written for that site. In both cases the site’s editor reviewed the placement and could refuse it. Our fee covers the outreach work and any placement fee the publisher charges.

2. Front-loaded velocity, then a steady pace

  • Month 1: 40 links. Within three weeks, traffic started climbing.
  • Months 2–3: 40 links per month to build momentum.
  • Months 4–14: 22–23 links per month to sustain growth.

3. A content calendar to match

On our recommendation, Zluri’s team scaled to 30+ new SEO articles per month. More content meant more pages to link to, more internal linking paths and more keywords in play.

4. Placements on pages with real readers

Where we could, we chose host articles that already had search traffic. More than 50 of the links sit in articles that were already getting meaningful organic traffic, so they can send referral visitors as well as authority.

About the Data

Traffic, ranking-keyword, Domain Rating and referring-domain figures are Ahrefs estimates, measured at campaign start and end. Ahrefs traffic is a modelled estimate of organic visits, not the client’s own analytics, so treat the numbers as directional.
